Structure and dynamics of fishery of Pacific salmon have been studied in the River Kamchatka which is the most productive on Kamchatka Peninsula. An increase of pressure of commercial fishery onto salmon populations has been observed in modern period. Comparative analysis for release of adult escapement for spawning in the Lake Azabachye upon different strategies of fishery has been made for one of major groups of sockeye salmon in the basin of the River Kamchatka. Urgent spreading for the practice of release-days a in the course of fishing near shore has been proved for this fishery district. Measures of management, directed to conservation of Pacific salmon stocks and seasonal morphs in the basin of the River Kamchatka have been proposed.

Biological parameters of chinook salmon in the Bolshaya Vorovskaya River have been analyzed and biological characterization has been provided on the archive and modern data for the period 1969–2013. Changes in the biological structure of the population have been figured out.

THE  AGE  COMPOSITION  OF  MASU  SALMON ONCORHYNCHUS MASOU OF  WEST KAMCHATKA

The age structure of mature masu salmon has been analyzed in several streams of West Kamchatka, including Bolshaya (for 1989–2014), Utka (2000–2014), Kikhchik (1982–2014), Krutogorova (1990–2013), Vorovskaya (1996–2014) and Khairyuzova (1990–2011). Five age groups have been revealed: 1.1, 2.1, 3.1, 1.2 and 2.2, where the age groups 2.1 and 1.1 represent respectively 71,0% and 27,2% of all fishes. Methodical approaches for evaluation how long is marine period of masu salmon on West Kamchatka have been discussed.

SOCKEYE SALMON (ONCORHYNCHUS NERKA), SEQUENCING OF MTDNA, MOLECULAR MARKERS, THE GENE OF CYTOCHROME b, GENETIC DIVERSITY

It was studied the genetic diversity of sockeye salmon Oncorhynchus nerka (Walbaum) populations in the r ivers of the Eastern Kamchatka mainland coast and Okhotsk Sea by using data on the variability of cytochrome b (cytb) mtDNA. The assessment has taken place to understand the significance of differences in nucleotide substitutions and haplotype frequencies between the studied species’ population pairs. Outcome is a discovery of significant differences between sockeye salmon from different geographical regions (of the northern part of the sea of Okhotsk and Bering sea), as well as from the single region’s locations. At the same time percentage of interpopulation genetic variability was shown to be rather moderate (12.67%), that indicates relatively short time of population divergence. The frequency distribution pattern of pairwise nucleotide differences obtained for the species populations, of the investigated part of its range, suggests that the studied sockeye salmon’s local versions are formed by the merger of genetically distant, conspecific populations. Perhaps in the species’ history there had been a separation of its range into two genetically independent (over many generations) units.

AMPHIPODS  (AMPHIPODA:  GAMMARIDEA,  CAPRELLIDEA) OF  THE WEST KAMCHATKAN  SHELF. PART I.  TAXONOMICAL COMPOSITION AND ZONAL-GEOGRAPHICAL CHARACTERISTICS

188 species of amphipods were discovered in the depth of 19–241 m in July–August in 2004 as the result of processing of 235 samples. The fauna of amphipods in the area of the study expanded by 1/3 and currently, taking into consideration literature data, it consists of 305 species. Zonal-geographical characteristics of some species were clarified more precisely; some species were observed in the Okhotsk Sea first time, some species were found to represent genera or family never mentioned as residental for the Okhotsk Sea or the territorial waters of Russia.

235 samples of benthos were collected in July–August of 2004 on the shelf of the western Kamchatka in the depth 19–241 m. Amphipods were distributed everywhere, but on the vast area of the West Kamchatkan shelf their biomass was not >2 g/m2 and their population density was not >200 individuals/m2. The mean biomass was 1.4±0.1 g/m2. The average contribution of amphipods to the total biomass of benthos was poor (0.4%), but in particular aggregations it was >66%. There were several small aggregations of amphipods with the maximal biomass up to 8.5 g/m2 and maximal density up to 832 individuals/m2

TO  THE  CAUSES  OF  SAFFRON  COD ELEGINUS GRACILIS SIZE-AGE COMPOSITION  DIFFERENCE  IN  THE  CATCHES  OF  BOTTOM  TRAWL  SURVEYS IN  THE  SOUTHWESTERN  BERING  SEA

The size-age composition differences of saffron cod in the catches of bottom trawl surveys carried out in 2012 aboard the SRTM “Professor Probatov” and in 2013 aboard the SRTM “Pogranichnik Kirdischev” in similar periods and locations has been revealed. In 2012 the main part of the catches generally consisted of 1+–3+ individuals, and the contribution of underyearlings was 3.4% in the Gulf of Korf and 5.1% in Karaginsky Gulf. In 2013 the main part of the catches consisted of 0+–2+ individuals in Karaginsky Gulf and of underyearlings in the Gulf of Korf. The difference can be explained by early starting the mass outmigration of young saffron cod from the coastal waters to the shelf as a result of earlier and more intense autumn cooling of water in 2013 comparing 2012. In this connection the size-age structure of saffron cod would be estimated more accurate if the surveys were provided in November and December.

Data on the average annual density and the occurrence frequency of larval capelin of the Eastern Okhotsk Sea are provided as generalized materials of fish and plankton surveys, carried out on West Kamchatka for the period 1964–2005. Maps of distribution are made and analyzed depending on water dynamics after “warm” or “cold” winter seasons.

Autoradiographic research showed that the synthetic processes in gametes are move active in spring when gonads are in the conohtion of an active gametogenesis. There is a positive correlation between the DNA and RNA synthesis. DNA joins the interphase and prophase nuclei in stage of pachinema. The nuclear synthesis of RNA prevails in the Ist order of spermatogonia and spermatocytes.

STUDY  THE  BEHAVIOR  OF  FISH  IN  THE  ACTIVE  ZONE  OF  SEINE  ROPES UNDER  MODEL  CONDITIONS

The results of the model studies of the fish reaction peculiarities to the seine rope are presented. The studies were conducted in a pool with dimensions 10×2.5 m when the water level is 0.9 m. In the experiment are fulfilled  conditions of geometric,  hydrodynamic similarity with  respect to  the  elements gear and behavioral similarity with respect of living objects of nature and the experiment. There were obtained data on the distance of reaction to the seine rope, also the initial heights of perch’s swarm herded by the seine ropes. Recalculation of the results to the conditions of nature allows to adjust the value of the seine’s coefficient of catchability ranging from 0.35±0.15 to 0.37±0.14.

The regularities of changes in the properties of minced systems during their termoob-processing and subsequent dispersion. It is established that during the heat treatment of minced fish-forming thermotropic gels, denaturation of proteins deteriorate due to its structural characteristics. Dispersing precooked minced fish partially restores the function-tional properties of denatured proteins, causing structural characteristics-termogelya improved.
